MICHAEL GRAY
Michael Gray (b. 1993 Los Angles, CA) is an artist, photographer, and filmmaker. After earning a BA in Visual Media Arts from Emerson College, Michael launched his own production company Gray Media Labs, overseeing every aspect of the business from pre-production to post-production. His creative vision and technical expertise led to collaborations with high-profile clients, including Rich Roll, TAPPAN Collective, Coterie, SAMSUNG, Little Spoon, Ortho Mattress, helping them elevate their brands with dynamic visual media.
In 2019, Michael became the lead video producer and editor at OLIPOP, a rapidly growing health soda startup. His work was instrumental in shaping the brand’s identity, producing over 40 video campaigns that significantly boosted market presence. Michael’s collaborations with clients like Whole Foods, Everytable, Sprouts, and Smart Sweets led to millions of views, establishing OLIPOP as a leader in the industry.
Simultaneously, Michael worked as the Director of Cinematography and Co-Editor on Alexa Nikolas’ deeply personal grief trilogy METANOIA, filmed across Iceland and Ethiopia. His ability to capture emotional depth helped bring the project to life, enhancing its powerful storytelling.
In 2022, Michael continued his collaboration with Nikolas at her organization EAT PREDATORS, where he volunteered as Co-Creative Director, Graphic Designer, Photographer, Video Editor, and Social Media Manager. During this time, the organization produced over 60 audio and video projects that garnered more than 9 million views, driving change within the entertainment industry by amplifying survivor voices. Later, he was hired to Co-Produce and handle the Post-Production for the movement's podcast Eat Predators Daily, a satirical live-streamed YouTube show advocating for accountability in the industry.
Currently, Michael is set to publish his first book of Polaroids, Time is Still Here, and is directing his debut documentary, El Korason Es Espejo. Fueled by an unwavering commitment to honest, heartfelt storytelling, Michael continues to explore new ways to create impactful and thought-provoking art.
